Crush Tops: Prepare for Battle
To get ready for the fight, carefully assemble your Crush Tops by putting the bottom layer (the tip) into the metal disc (the middle layer), and then place the bottom and middle layers right into the top layer. Gently twist it to lock. Ensure it is tight but not too tight, so it does not come apart during the battle and break your Crush Tops parts.
Launch your Crush Tops by placing the ripcord into the launcher, right inside the hole where "IN" is written. Next, position your Crush Tops within the launcher and route it gently to keep it locked. Firmly grip your Crush Tops launcher using your left hand and hold it above the stadium with the bottom layer facing the stadium. When the battle finally begins, pull the ripcord out of the launcher while holding your launcher firmly.
Choose your blades wisely, play safely, and most importantly, enjoy! A Crush Tops is a spinning object that represents you in the battle and is made up of up to 3 layers: the Crush Tops top, the middle disc, and the driver (Beyblade Style Battle Tops). The top is the outermost layer that represents your Crush Tops; the middle disc is metal and helps keep the Crush Tops stable during a battle, and the driver is the main point of contact in the stadium, which dictates the speed and direction of your Crush Tops.
Crush Tops require 2 players spinning blades within a Crush Tops stadium, which is a plastic bucket where players launch their Crush Tops. During each match, a player can pick 3 Crush Tops of their choice, but can only play with one Crush Tops for the battle.
The scoring for the game is as follows: - 1 point is earned when your opponent's Crush Tops are knocked out of the stadium or thrown outside the ring (known as a Ring Out). - 1 point is earned when you stop your opponent's Crush Tops from spinning (known as a Spin Finish). - 2 points are earned if you can burst your opponent's Crush Tops during the battle (known as Crush Tops Blade Burst) (Requires Burst Crush Tops Top). - In the event of a tie, both players earn the corresponding point.
The first player to reach 7 points wins. There are four types of Tops: - Attack/Striker Crush Tops are sturdy and strong, spinning around the Crush Tops stadium with full force. Used on offense, they are perfect against Stamina Crush Tops. - Defense/Defender Crush Tops move very little and just spin around the Crush Tops stadium, waiting to be attacked first. Used to deflect opponents, they are more efficient against Attack Crush Tops. - Endurance/Stamina Crush Tops compensate for their lack of power by lasting longer than others. Used to outlast opponents, they are perfect against Defense Crush Tops. - Combination/Balance Crush Tops are multipurpose blades with a little bit of everything, used to endure attacks from any type of Crush Tops.
It's essential to know the strengths and weaknesses of your Crush Tops to win the battle. Generally, stamina is weaker against attack; defense is weaker against stamina, and attack is weaker against defense. You can also customize your blades to make them unique by adding weight discs, attack rings, and different sizes of ripcords, depending on the type and model of Crush Tops you are using.
